I love my job as a guide for its opportunities for precious human encounters and direct friendly connection. Curious of other cultures, I travelled extensively, yet I am always happy to be back, as there is nowhere else I would rather be. This little island has a hold on me for its heritage, its mild Mediterranean climate and beautiful clean waters, but also for its inimitable mix of cultures, relaxed, and cosy atmosphere and good cuisine. Let me share these delights with you.
I aim at appealing to the interest of all in the group, whatever the age and inclination. I endeavour to show my guests the real Malta, to convey traditions, modern insights, as well as history, archaeology and hidden secrets. I try that my tours are a refreshing change to the generic tours, and that my clients have lasting impressions. I am responsible for seeing that itineraries are observed, for ensuring the safety of my guests, as well as for getting them back in time for events.
I started out as a teacher of Social Studies and became attracted to tour guiding when doing cultural tours and site visits for my students. I now have over twenty five years of experience in tour guiding. In the shoulder months I translate documents for the European Union.
I have a first degree in Philosophy and Classical Culture and Civilisation, a Teacher’s Warrant, a Diploma in Law and Management, and a Master of Translation Studies, all from the University of Malta.
"Malta has long been on my wish list, and I’m so thankful our cruise itinerary included the fabled island, standing like a fortified rock between Sicily and Africa. With the help of the wonderful Malta guide Amy Pace, my TV crew and I blitzed the island."
